Terms of Use and Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

Japanese Association of Museums (hereinafter referred to as “the JAM”) complies with the Personal Information Protection Act and other related laws and regulations, and abides by this Privacy Policy.

1. Acquisition of Personal Information

The JAM acquires personal information through fair and lawful means.

2. Purpose of Use of Personal Information

The JAM uses personal information for the following purposes. Unless there is a reason recognized by the Personal Information Protection Act or other laws and regulations, and without the consent of the individual, the JAM will not use personal information beyond this scope.

・To provide and operate our services

・To respond to inquiries from users (including verifying identity)

・To send emails informing users of new features, updated information, campaigns, etc. of the service they are currently using and other services provided by our company.

・To contact you as necessary, such as maintenance and important notices.

・To identify users who violate the Terms of Use or who attempt to use the service for fraudulent or improper purposes, and to refuse their use.

・To allow users to view, change, or delete their own registered information, and view usage status.

・To bill users for usage fees for paid services

3. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

The JAM complies with the Personal Information Protection Act and other laws and regulations regarding the provision of personal information to third parties.

4. Security of Personal Information

The JAM takes necessary and appropriate measures to prevent the leakage, loss, or damage of personal information it handles, and to manage personal information appropriately. The JAM also appropriately supervises its employees regarding the handling of personal information, and when entrusting the handling of personal information to a third party, the JAM supervises the third party to ensure that it manages personal information appropriately.

5. Notification, Disclosure, Correction, etc. of the Purpose of Use of Personal Information, and Requests for Suspension of Use, etc.

If an individual requests The JAM to disclose, correct, add, delete, suspend use, erase, or stop providing personal information to a third party, or to notify the purpose of use, the Office will confirm that the requester is the individual and respond appropriately in accordance with the provisions of the Personal Information Protection Act.
